The fairytale tale of young witch Cereza on a mission to save her mother on a fateful evening blends beautiful art with fun puzzle platforming. But with so many differences from the main series, fans might be confused at the beginning of this new journey. Here are six tips that will get you on the right track in no time.
6. Lose yourself
The history of Bayonet origins It’s all about Cereza, who gets lost in the Forest of Avalon while chasing the White Wolf. By default, as you walk through the forest, you’ll see flowing blue footprints directing you in the direction you should be going. I am here to say that you should disable this feature.
Avalon Forest is not a sprawling open world; While it has its hidden paths and treasures to discover, you don’t run the risk of spending hours walking down the wrong path. Cheshire and Cereza aren’t the only humans lost in the Forest of Avalon. Will-o’-the-wisps, the souls of dead children who were lured into the forest by the fairies, also inhabit the mysterious forest. Each Wisp must be rescued by Cheshire and Cereza, but once rescued they will all gather with Colm in the Forgotten Knoll.
Colm is incredibly grateful to you for saving Wisps and will reward you the more Wisps you bring back to the Forgotten Knoll. Every now and then, take a trip back to the Forgotten Knoll and report to Colm. he may just have something good waiting for you.

3. Listen to Cereza
Sometimes during a boss fight or a puzzle section, you get stumped and don’t know what to do. This is when you should pay attention to any dialogue that is taking place. Certain boss fights will require you to use a specific elemental form of Cheshire or activate Cereza’s witch pulse at just the right time.
Cereza makes helpful comments that point out what to do if you’re having trouble. If you’re having trouble understanding the dialogue in the heat of the moment, turn on the subtitles.
2. Don’t mix up your wires
The biggest challenge ever Bayonet origins doesn’t get confused by controlling the two protagonists, Cheshire and Cereza. Combat and puzzle solving can get very complicated in the late game, and if you’re not careful you’ll confuse the two characters crossing paths and hinder your progress.
One way to make keeping track of Cheshire and Cereza a little easier is to play with the Joy-Cons in both hands and cross your hands over each other when the characters switch sides on-screen. That way, your brain knows to always use the right controller for the right character. You will be surprised how helpful this can be.

1. Retrace your steps
Chesire and Cereza will adventure through the many corners of the Avalon forest in search of the White Wolf and the four elemental seals that trap Lukaon at its center. While the main quest pushes the pair forward, it’s worth returning to old stomping grounds as you unlock more skills.
Cheshire’s four elemental forms also open up the ability to traverse special elemental gates that block paths through the Avalon Forest. As you return to earlier areas of the game, you’ll be able to uncover entirely new areas to explore.
